Missourians will get to vote on an amendment to protect public prayer this fall.
According to GOP Rep. Mike McGhee this amendment is intended to protect Christianity and Christians rights to pray in public. According to polls Amendment 2 is supported by 84% of Missouri voters, which shows the level of Biblical ignorance in the supposed Bible belt. I thought a Christian was a follower of the teachings of Jesus, but obviously a Christian now is a follower of a “corporate denominational barn” run by some sham artist who teaches political activism and profits from his sheep’s ignorance.
“And when you pray, you shall not be like the HYPOCRITES, For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you they have their reward. “But YOU, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Humm, that’s sounds like a commandment to me? It’s impossible for the government to prevent you from praying like Jesus taught, it is possible for them to prevent you from making a show out of praying. Jesus would vote ”NO” on amendment 2.
